Équité Sri Lanka brings together a closely knitted team of multi-disciplinary experts, experienced in research, policy advocacy, Human rights and development/humanitarian programs. It was formed as a nonprofit trust on 21st May 2017 and operated by a group of enthusiastic human rights activists in Sri Lanka. Since then, Équité has been forming a strong network of young volunteers who have roots to many parts of the country. The combination of high standards and sector specialism makes Équité’s efforts unique.

To achieve equality for LGBTIQ community, women and youth in marginalized settings in Sri Lanka.
Our Mission is to:
Impart knowledge, develop skills and change attitudes among LGBTIQ persons, women and youth in marginalized settings, in order to elevate their status to be equals in the society by advocacy, research, capacity building and awareness.
